Open Russian Language Competition in Freetown

On July 1, 2019 an Open Russian Language Competition took place in Freetown under the auspices of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) and the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education of the Republic of Sierra Leone, with the support of the Russian Embassy in Guinea. More than 30 Sierra Leoneans of different ages participated in the event. Representatives of the University had talks with graduates of Soviet/Russian universities. On the initiative of the Russian Embassy the RUDN delegation proposed to Sierra-Leonean partners to create an association of graduates of Russian universities – a similar one to the association that exists in Guinea and supports the Embassy in useful initiatives.
